PREFEN composite products can be used to anchor windows, doors, gates, and blinds. Composites offer minimal thermal conductivity, low weight, and easy machining, which makes them attractive for passive homes, as well as other projects where thermal losses need to be minimized.

Due to the availability of optional finishes and even bulk coloring of the material, composite materials are also suitable for exposed structural elements, such as eaves protecting wooden windows and doors, garden pergolas, and staircases and walkways in residential developments. Composite elements are generally more expensive than wood or common metals, but their maintenance-free service and high durability compensate for the higher initial outlay with reduced maintenance costs (including time) over the expected life of a civic or residential project.
